BUL-8/EEA: Double-Blind, Double-Dummy, Randomized, Parallel-Group, Non-Inferiority Phase III Trial on the Efficacy and Tolerability of 2mg Once Daily vs. 1mg Twice Daily Budesonide Orodispersible Tablets for Induction of Histological Remission in Adults with Eosinophilic Esophagitis

(IRB#: IRB_00199573)

This research study is studying Budesonide as a possible treatment for eosinophilic esophagitis (EoE), which is a chronic allergic condition that happens in the esophagus (gullet), where it gets inflamed and does not contract properly. The symptoms (e.g., trouble swallowing, heartburn, abdominal pain, vomiting, food getting stuck in the throat, etc.) happen when your immune system makes white blood cells called eosinophils in response to an allergen.
