Evaluating the Strengths and Needs of Older Autistic Adults In Online Communication Spaces

This study seeks to understand the strengths and weaknesses of older autistic adults in their usage of online communication spaces. For the purpose of this study, online communication spaces are defined as "a digital space where communication is one of the main functions of the space, such as social media sites, messaging apps, forums, or virtual communities". People in the study will participate in a 30-75 minute interview about their experiences using online communication spaces and. Interviews will be conducted on Zoom, though if participants do not feel comfortable using Zoom, we'll do our best to accommodate them and conduct the interview in-person (if feasible) or through other digital means. If conducted over Zoom, participants are free to turn off their webcam and/or write their responses through Zoom's chat feature if they'd prefer to do so. Participants will receive a $25 gift card upon completion of the study

Inclusion Criteria
- Participants must be 50+ years old
- Participants must identify as autistic. Participants do not need to be medically diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder in order to participate in this study.
