Testing a Weight Maintenance Intervention

This study will test how effective a weight maintenance intervention is delivered through primary care. The study will compare an Electronic Health Recordbased coaching weight maintenance to a tracking-only intervention. The study information learned will help design, modify, and implement the intervention. People in the study will participate in a focus group that lasts about 1.5 hours. People will receive payment for participation.

 Gender: All genders

  Age: Over 18 years old

  Volunteers: Healthy Volunteers

   Location: In Person

Inclusion Criteria

  • Age18 to 75 years old
  • Specific weight before weight loss
  • Have experienced and maintained an intentional weight loss of at least 5% of body weight in the past 24 months
  • Plan to maintain a University of Utah Health relationship in one of the participating primary care practices
  • Have or be willing to get and use an account with the Epic MyChart patient portal
