Relationship between bowel symptoms and diet in patients with irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) and inflammatory bowel disease (IBD)

(IRB#: IRB_00192369)

Irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) and inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) are two different health conditions, but they can cause many of the same stomach and bowel problems. The goal of this study is to find out how common these symptoms are in people with IBS and IBD, and how these symptoms may be connected to what people eat. We will also look at how symptoms and eating habits are different between people who have IBS and people who have IBD.
