Testing the Drug Ruxolitinib Cream for People with Hidradenitis Suppurativa

Hidradenitis Suppurativa is a chronic skin condition that causes painful lumps on the skin. This study will test the drug Ruxolitinib cream to treat people with Hidradenitis Suppurativa. The study wants to see if the drug will help people with the disease and is safe. People in the study will be randomly chosen to receive Ruxolitinib Cream or a cream without the medication. Later in the study, all people will receive Ruxolitinib Cream. People in the study will keep an electronic journal. Being in the study lasts about 1 year and requires in-person visits to the study clinic. Medical tests will be done during the study to track the health of participants. People will be paid for study participation.

Inclusion Criteria
- Ages 12 years and older
- Diagnosis of Hidradenitis Suppurativa for at least 6 months at the first study visit
- Mild to moderate Hidradenitis Suppurativa
- Childbearing age participants must use specific birth control
- Able to attend in-person visits at the study clinic
Exclusion Criteria
- Areas of the skin to be treated exceed more than 20% of the body at the start of the study
- Presence of draining tunnels at the start of the study
- Another skin disorder that prevents study participation
- Current or history of Tuberculosis, uncontrolled heart disease, or other serious medical condition that prevents full study participation
- Pregnant or breastfeeding
