Aspirin for the Prevention of Recurrent Preterm Delivery

This research study is studying whether a higher dose of aspirin will do a better job of lowering the risk of having another preterm delivery or stillborn baby. We invite you to take part in this research study because in your most recent pregnancy, you delivered more than five weeks early (before 35 weeks).

Inclusion Criteria

  • 14+
  • Singleton Pregnancy
  • Gestational age between 10 weeks and 15 weeks 6 days
  • Prior preterm birth between 20 weeks 0 days and 34 weeks 6 days

Exclusion Criteria

  • Known allergy or hypersensitivity to aspirin or any medical condition where aspirin is contraindicated
  • Taking other anticoagulants such as Heparin or Low-Molecular weight Heparin
  • Aspirin use >81 mg daily during the current pregnancy who are not willing or able to go through a 2-week washout before randomization.
  • Planned indicated delivery prior to 37 weeks.
