Testing the Drug Cenobamate for People with Newly Diagnosed or Recurrent Partial-Onset Epilepsy

(IRB#: IRB_00185320)

Partial-onset epilepsy is a type of seizure that starts in a specific area of the brain. It can cause various symptoms, such as unusual movements, changes in senses, or even loss of awareness. Cenobamate is an approved drug to treat people with partial onset-seizures. This study wants to see how effective and safe the drug is to help people recently diagnosed or have experienced a recurring partial-onset seizure. People in the study will take specific doses of Cenobamate over time. Being in the study requires attending in person study visits at the clinic. Participation may last up to 2 years with about 14 study visits. Medical tests will be done during the study to track the health of participants.
