Perception During a Manual Task

(IRB#: IRB_00184556)

This study will look at how sounds affect a persons task performance and perception of environmental hazards. Participants will complete a manual labor task (such as using a hand drill) while listening to common background sounds. The study will measure task performance from time and accuracy in completing the task. Participants will complete surveys, body movement, and brain activities. Being in the study requires attending one 5-hour in-person visit at the study clinic. The study wants to learn how to improve workplace safety better.
