Testing the Drug ESK-001 for People with Plaque Psoriasis

(IRB#: IRB_00180229)

Plaque psoriasis is a skin condition that causes dry, itchy, raised patches of skin on the body. This study will test a drug called ESK-001 to treat adults with this condition. The study wants to see if the drug will help people with the condition and is safe. People in the study will be randomly chosen to be treated with ESK-001, apremilast (a drug used to treat the same condition), or placebo. A placebo looks like the study drug but does not have the medication. Being in the study requires attending in-person visits at the study clinic for about 24 to 32 weeks. Medical tests will be done to track the health of participants.
