Financial Hardship of All People Living with Dementia and Their Care Partners

Dementia is a condition that can cause memory loss and impair individuals ability to make decisions. The effects of this condition can cause financial hardship. This study wants to develop a survey tool to assess the financial hardship for all people living with Dementia and their care partners. People in the study will answer brief questionnaires and participate in online group discussions using a technology device such as a computer. Participation lasts about 90 minutes. Participants receive $75 for participation.

 Gender: All genders

  Age: Over 18 years old

  Volunteers: Healthy Volunteers

   Location: From Home

Inclusion Criteria

  • All 18 years and older who are care partners to someone with dementia (this can mean direct hands-on care and/or providing money for care)
  • Access to the Internet and technology devices such as a computer
  • Speak and read English

Exclusion Criteria

  • Care partners who are under age 18
  • Individuals who do not speak English
  • Persons living with dementia who are younger than 50
  • Care partners who have not provided direct care nor assistance with expenses at least once a month in the prior year
