Duloxetine for People with Fibromyalgia

Fibromyalgia is a long-lasting pain condition. Duloxetine is a common approved drug used to treat people with this condition. Peoples responses vary when taking the medication. Some people find the drug to be helpful, a little helpful, while others do not. This study wants to understand better the reasons for varying responses to Duloxetine. People in the study will already have been taking Duloxetine for at least 2 months to help with Fibromyalgia. Being in the study requires attending one 5-6 hour visit to the study clinic. The visit will include completing a survey and having blood drawn. People will receive payment for completing the study.

Inclusion Criteria
- Ages 18 years and older
- Diagnosed with Fibromyalgia Syndrome
- Taking at least 60 mg of duloxetine (Cymbalta) for at least the past 8 weeks before participation
- Able to attend in person visit at the study clinic
Exclusion Criteria
- History of impaired kidney or liver function that required treatment
- Pregnant or plan to become pregnant in the next year
- Have any progressive illness other than fibromyalgia that has a chronic pain and fatigue component, such as cancer patient receiving chemotherapy, Parkinson's disease, or multiple sclerosis
