Parents and teenagers have views about the impact smartphones have on teenagers. Research is needed to know how using smartphones during free-time impacts teenagers identity and self-concept. The information we learn may aid future parents in helping their children develop healthy smartphone use habits.

Inclusion Criteria
- Ages of 16-18 years old
- At least in 9th grade
- Have a smartphone
- Attends a public, charter or private secondary school in person
- Teenager lives in a home with parent(s) of origin
Exclusion Criteria
- Teenagers in blended families
- Stepparents
- Graduated from high school
- Homeschooled
