The Effect of Planning to Balance During Walking, Stepping, or Jumping Interruptions

Research is needed to find how people balance during expected or unexpected walking, stepping, or jumping. interruptions. The information we learn will help us better understand how to support people with balancing challenges.

Who can participate?

 Gender: All genders

  Age: Over 18 years old

  Volunteers: Healthy Volunteers

   Location: In Person

Inclusion Criteria

  • 18 to 50 years old
  • healthy adults or
  • adults with mild traumatic brain injury (mTBI)
  • mTBI occurred within the past year and still has present symptoms
  • attend in person at the University of Utah

Exclusion Criteria

  • History of the brain or a behavior disease that could impact balance
  • History of injuries within the past year that could impact balance
  • Reconstructive surgery of the lower body
  • Current medications that could impact balance
